While working in the Frostbite team DICE started work on the sequel in the immensely popular Battlefield series. Though now a separate organization, the Frostbite team worked closely with the development team for the required new features. Battlefield 4 was a launch-title for the new generation consoles (Playstation 4 and Xbox One) and a simultaneous release on the older generation consoles and PC. I'm very proud over having delivered on time on 5 platforms with consistently solid performance, even though the release was far from perfect.
I was involved in general scalability and Gen3 memory optimizations. Making this game fit in the 7 years old consoles was challenge. Additionally I did some PC features also connected to scalability. I'm especially proud we released one of the few release titles on Gen4 that kept a solid 60fps and still managed to look gorgeous.
Battlefield 4 was launched 11th of November 2013 on PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox one and Xbox 360.
